Richard FerroneRICHARD FERRONE is an actor and an award-recognized narrator. He left a successful law career over 30 years ago and now has appeared on Broadway and Off-Broadway stages in New York and in theatres across the country. TV credits include Law & Order, Against the Law, The Guiding Light and One Life To Live. Although he has recorded over 200 audiobooks in just about every genre, he is best known for his recordings of John Sandford’s Prey novels and the LaHaye/Jenkins Left Behind series. He also teaches the skill of audiobook narration.

Cynthia DarlowCYNTHIA DARLOW: Cynthia’s unusual voice has made her devotion to the spoken arts a natural fit. As a narrator, veteran of Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional theatre, film and television, her characterizations and facility with dialects are unforgettable. He is a proud member of AEA; SAG; & AFTRA for over thirty years. Her wide range of skills and classical training allow her to transition easily from children’s books (5 seasons with Children’s Television Workshop) to Shakespeare’s Sonnets and everything in between. She is a member of The Actors Company Theatre (TACT) whose mission it is to present concert performances of long-neglected, language-driven plays. Humorous fare, a forte; clear contrasts of character and dialects, a specialty. You will be able to see Cynthia in the upcoming production of Billy Elliott in Chicago.

Chuck StranskyCHUCK STRANSKY has narrated numerous audio books of every variety. His most recent is Galileo’s Universe and is about to record a book with Paul Ruben this week. On Broadway he was in the original production of Glengarry Glen Ross and in the Goodman Theatre’s original production, and also appeared in The Front Page. He understudied and played several roles in Death Defying Acts (with Cynthia Darlow). He has played in regional theatres through-out the U.S. including Chicago’s own Goodman and North Light Theatres. Film credits include The Spanish Prisoner, Homicide, Things Change, all written and directed by David Mamet. TV credits include Ed, Third Watch, Newhart, Murphy Brown, Frank’s Place, My Sister Sam, Law and Order and recently Dr. Delano in All My Children. He is a proud member of AEA, SAG & AFTRA for over thirty years.

Here’s what the pros had to say…

”Paul Ruben is among the very top director/producers in the audiobook business! Every time I work with Paul he offers such wonderful insights regarding the character of the narrator. Sandy Meisner used to say: “It ‘s not about the words! What is the event? You do NOT act the words…you act the event!” Paul consistently guides me to see and understand THE EVENT! It is a joy and a liberating experience to work with him.”
-- Alan Sklar, narrator

"From my first audiobook to my most recent, I have always found Paul to be a top-rate director. He has a sense for craft specific to the audiobook medium that allows me to relax into the work, knowing that Paul will guide me through and get the best out of the book and me."
-- Holter Graham, narrator, 2008 Best Voice in Science Fiction & Fantasy

"Paul Ruben had directed and produced many of the very best audiobooks that have consistently won rave reviews and Earphones Awards from AudioFile. Paul’s keen understanding of the elements of storytelling that create fine audiobooks is coupled with his ear for perfect casting. Paul is also devoted to discovering new voices for audiobooks, and teaching actors who have established skills the specific art and craft of audiobook narration."
